That you could cut yourself bad enough with a pencil while trying to give yourself a tattoo? The reason I am asking is b/c my lil sis claims this is how she got what looks to me like "cutting" or self mutlization. I informed my mom who will be taking her to the dr. today but my mom is taking to the story that she was trying to give herself a tattoo. I feel like this cut couldn't have been done with a pencil at all due to the appearance. Just wanted to know what others thought! Might I add it has been in the mid 80's where I'm at and she's wearing long sleeves jackets (cotton material) which adds to my speculation.
I feel I may just overly worried since I am 30 weeks preggie and will be a mother soon and these mother-like instincts are kicking in or just overwhelmed that I getting close to the labor %26 delivery of my child.

you are not overreacting at all. Your mom should ask your sister what is going on and what's she been up to? Mom being delusional and pretending that everythings OK is NOT GOOD.
Be a realist and she can help your sister. You should tell her to show you her arms. Change shirts.
Does she have a boyfriend? could she be covering for someone who could be doing this or causing her to do this??
Confront your sister in front of you mom. Take off the shirt.
With a regular pencil you would have to be trying to cut yourself.
It is possible to stab yourself too deeply accidently, but a cut would take a lot of stabs
If she did it with a pencil she'll probably get lead poisoning. But from what you say it sounds like she's a cutter. But cutters ( to my understanding) don't tell anyone. So I would think if she did it for that reason and voluntarily told your mother- she's probably rethinking it.
