People with a past of drug abuse only?

ok well i'm 22 years old so you all know.at the age of 16 i started to enjoy useing vicodin, percocets, to get high and deal with the everyday teenage problems, i went from usein once in a while to a full blown addict by the age of 19, i was abusing oxycontin, morphine paches and pill, shooting heroin and oxycontin, then started substituing opites with ectacy, meth and cocaine, i got married at age 19and had a child, she was aware of my problem but did not know how seriouse it was, well to put it all together...i'm now devorced, lost my house because of the drugs(bought drugs insted of paying bills) i'm currently enrolled at a methadone clinic for my addiction, now even after everything that happend to me,and all the trubble i got in for stealing and stuff while i was an addict using. i still abuse my perscription adderall and ritalin, why cant i stop myself from finding ways to still get high...will i ever change? or is it just my addictive personality? what is your opinoin?
Answer:
YOU have to want to change yourself. There is help out there but until your ready, you will fall every single time. Take a look in the mirror, do you know that person? You will have to fight this the rest of your life, but you can do it. You have a child. Make your child proud. Get well and be a great roll model. Good Luck and with prayers.
You have an addictive personality, but all addictions can be gotten over. I am 17, and I started to abuse the same drugs you are when I was 13. I have been clean and sober for over a year. You just need to find out what triggers you, and avoid those triggers so you can get better. Feel free to email me if you need any advice. Good Luck! Stay Safe!
In AA and NA it is said that a drug problem is simply a symptom of an emotional dis-ease. I would seek out a therapist to deal with your emotions and perhaps look deep into your life to see where it may have started.
Remember you deserve the best in life...
You might want to consider an inpatient program for awhile. Then out-patient and a lot of one-on-one therapy. If you really want to stop, these programs and your desire to quit drugs should help. Right now you need the advice and experience of professionals.
There is no such thing as an addictive personality. That is an old school explanation for what we now know is caused by neurobiology. Also, substance use may have started because of emotional problems; but it then became a problem all of its own. So if you fix the emotional issues, you will still be addicted. Actually, you have such a hard time stopping your use because of the fundamental neurochemical changes that occurred in your brain because of your extensive substance. Yes, you lessened your substance use (Good job), AND you are still in active addiction. If you want a good overview of what your addiction is all about check out the ADDICTION documentary developed by HBO and SAMSA. You can find it at Netflix or at HBO.COM. This presentation will cast a lot of light on your questions.
You will quit when you hit rock bottom, go to jail or die. You can be an addict for along time. You will lose everthing, friends, family, job, house, car you name it, it will all be gone eventually. So you had better do some major changing while you still can. Please do it for if not for yourself do it for your poor child. They didnt ask for this situation. Get the help now. And one other thing once you get a drug record it will be with you forever. Its not worth it. Find new people, who dont use. Good luck, and I will say a prayer for you. I hate dope.
drugs are such guilty pleasures i wish humans were born with two of each organs one for use and one for abuse but since we arnt the only thing is to find the right balance. will power is what i would like to call a war within myself it litraly feels like there are somany of me's in me and each me wants something and when that me is satisfied it calms down and disapears. addictive personality you ask, well which one are u talking about? theres ur addictive meth personality and ur addictive smack personality or ur addictive blow personality and so on. imagine just emptying a few cc's of smack in u and now ur on top of the world with the most secure feeling the sensation is better then a million orgasms. or after few lines of ice dont u just feel like painting the whole world twice. that energy is greater then power of the sun now imagine taking all your addictive personalities and slowly slicing it in middle till all the junk pours out till all the screaming deamons are gone then lighting whts left of it on fire. and ur done ur no longer an addict. finding that power, the power to fight against all differnt 'me's you have in you is your true addiction substance only plays a catylist role in the whole equation. when you do find that power- that natural high would be greater then all the highs combined from past 6 years. choose ur thoughts wisely.
First off stop beating yourself up. People a lot older and supposedly wiser have had the same problem you have. The real deal is are you sick enough to really get cured.?
There is a drug that is taken ONCE and will allow you 6 to 12 weeks of time to decide if you want to stay clean. This medicine is banned in the USA but you did not say where you lived. It is available in clinics in Canada, St. Kitts, Mexico, South Africa and several other places around the world. All I can say to offer proof is this. I took this drug, it is called IBOGAINE at a clinic. For 36 hours the drug metabolized itself into a new medicine called nor-ibogaine. The nor ibogaine plugs up all the receptors for opioids (other substances as well) for between 6 to 12 or so weeks. I am sure many people are shaking their head in disbelief. " well if there was such a drug it would not be banned" or How could this possibly work?
II am proof . I have used heavy narcotic pain relievers for over 20 years. quantities large enough to kill a person that is not as tolerant as I am to narcotics..Well everyone that takes this medicine goes thru a experience that I will let you do your own research but needless to say I have never been as shocked as I was that I had NO withdrawal symptoms at all.
I will say this and that is that methadone is the hardest drug to come off from Much worse that heroin or oxy's. The reason is the half life of Mehadone is so long that it stays in your system for a long time.
All I ask is that you or anyone that knows of a person trapped in the world of drugs by his/her own fault or not please put the word IBOGAINE in any search engine.
I would be happy to talk to anyone that would like further knowledge of how this works and what to expect. Just email me anytime.
